recently, i switched from internet explorer to mozilla firefox browser.
and the thing is now with firefox it seems i never get spyware, where in internet explorer i would pick up spyware left and right.

i have been paying 30 dollars a year for 3 years for PCTOOLS spyware doctor. and i thought it was worth the money because i would run full scans at least ones a week and surely spyware doctor would pick up spyware from not dangerous(cookies) to very dangerous trojans.

Now, for 3 months Ive been using firefox and spyware doctor has not detected a single instance of spyware in the 3 months.

so if spyware mostly targets MS IE im thinking of cancelling my spyware doctor subscribtion.

does anyone has any coment on this?

Welcome to the flock. Firefox is the awesome.
"The basis of our governments being the opinion of the people, the very first object should be to keep that right; and were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers, or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.[Europe], under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep. If once [the people] become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress, and Assemblies, judges and governors shall all become wolves. " - Thomas Jefferson

    +1 for FF

Just a little tip: get the Adblock Plus extension - that will give you even more control over displayed ads/popups etc. Easy to use and works great. under Tools - Addons in firefox

Also switch off DirectX extensions and JavaScript, and you should have stopped 90% of online malware.
Carefull with the DX/JS though - some sites might not work anymore.

    Opera rocks!

Like it much better than FireFox!

    It blocks even more.

Sure, if I want to read my Hotmail, I need to use FireFox, cause Opera won't let me, it won't accept MS-cookies I guess...

Oh, and it's also personal preference, can't really tell why I like it better... dunno... it just is better...

    Thanks!

I also heard Opera has very good download capabilities (from torrents etc).

I need to try an alternative one day (when I have time).
