Well...i've had the game for a while now. I'm on vista. used to think i was pretty handy with this computer stuff. I used to work at a .com

Well...then this game came along.

Yeah..i know it isn't vista supported, but i figured i could get it to run since so many others have been able to. Guess not.

If anyone has any ideas for me..let me know. I've cleaned my whole system out. Tried all the related tips on the site that i could find. No luck. Still mm.exe crashed with the shaderapidx9.dll being noted.

Tried working with my WMI....but no luck. And yes my DCOM is turned on.

Right now everything is uninstalled..including Steam. Only thing installed is the single player DvD version. And same error. Patched 1.0 then 1.02. Same error occurs on all 3.

Thought about re-doing my repository but i keep getting access denied errors with my WMI. I think something is screwed up with it but can't seem to get enough support for it. So i don't know.

You don't have updated original nVidia drivers installed. I guess the drivers in use are the Vista generic drivers for nVidia cards.
And i wonder why isn't your processor properly recognized... ("Processor: n/a (2 CPUs)")

No clue about the 2 processors not showing up..but i do have the optimizer installed. Aslo, i do have the latest video drivers installed. Not sure why it is showing up like that.
