Thread: HOMM V - Collectors Edition | Forums

    Greetings from Portugal everyone!

I'm a big fan of this time of games and i played HOMM III, along time ago....(really long!) But now, with the news of HOMM VI i've looked at it again and been thinking about buying HOMM V Collectors Edition and the 2 expansions, Hammers of Fate and Tribes of the East. My question is: is it worth it? can anyone give me some feedback about this?

And for my "noob" question: if you install the 2 expansion, do you need to install heroes of might and magic v patches (1.01 to 1.06)? Or does the expansions install it? Is installing HOMM5 -> HoF -> TotE -> TotE patch 3.01 sequence enough to cover it all?

    Thanks!

    Nourix,

It is worth it. I bought Heroes 5 collectors edition a couple months ago for 15 bucks as my original Heroes 5 CD was scratched to the point of uselessness. If you just want to play ToE, that is the only thing you have to install. Well, that and the patch. If you want to download and play older maps though, you will need to install all of it.

    Hello,

I live in the US and I was wondering if the collector's edition had been meant primarily for Europeans. I ask because I bought it, but had trouble playing it. There was some problem recognizing my installation and there were a lot of bugs, especially with the map editor and RMG.

Speaking of which, are you supposed to be able to use the map editor with the ToE expansion?
