I would like the old style action buttons back too. Being able to walk around is a nice bonus but it's not made the game more enjoyable to play.

Come on guys you are kidding, right ?

Keys for spawning to stations ? That would kill immersion for sure.

For the F5 (manning the deck gun) and F6 (manning the flak guns) keys, they work, just be sure that your watch officer has at least 1 point of morale (use the cook special soup if needed)

And F8 for silent running, you must be underwater, this will set engine at the lowest speed and every crewmember will shut the f... up.
Be aware that this mode will stop reloading torpedoes and repairing damages as well.
And the use of toilets is forbidden too

    Hope this helps.

I have never brought a game that has been so rushed out into the shops as unfinished as this game is Ubisoft you should be ashamed of yourself
i Have solved how to get event camera working in campains here is how to do it.
This may only work on retail version as you have to be able to access one of the config files.
    just follow these steps:
1: click on drive you installed game to.
2:then click on folder called Ubisoft.
3:then click on folder called Silent Hunter 5.
4:then click on folder called Data.
5:then click on folder called cfg.
6:then open with notepad a file called Gameplay settings you will see several paragraphs of data at the top of each paragraph in brackets is the differculty level if you look in each paragraph you will see a line that says 'NoEventCamera=true' change this to 'No EventCamera=false' if you do this for each difficulty level then save it when you go back into the game the event camera will work in the campains
This worked for me with the retail version if it will work for those of you who have downloaded it from servers i do not know.

This is what the gameplay settings file should look like when opened with notepad i have highlighted the lines you need to change.

I hope this works for you, as when I did that as soon as the game connected to Ubisoft the settings reverted to what they were.
Just press ESCAPE while in the Sub Pen (after the Tutorial, or in between Missions), choose GAMEPLAY from OPTIONS and ucheck NO EVENT CAMERA.
    Couldn't be simpler.

yes does work for me and have been playing game all day today ad hasn't reverted back once have event camera on all time now didn't know you could do what you said i know when i was in the game every time i pressed escape and went into options i couldn't get gameplay tab to come up as it was greyed out even when in sub pens only way i could click on gameplay in options was to end campain and go back to mainmenu and then into options and then i could click on gameplay and change it but then if i went back into campain i just played or started a new campaign it would revert back to turning event camera off

    Thank you!
    Thank you!
    Thank you!

Been looking for a fix / patch for this error since the release date.
It is ridiculous that Ubisoft hasn't released a patch to fix this, when the solution is so easy.
    Thank you again
