Requesting from the forum any information or details relating to the Fw 190A-8's displayed. If these aircraft have already been produced as skins then please let me know so I can stop researching.

I'm seeking any further colour images, suitable profiles and any relevant historical details in preperation for skinning.

The I/JG301 Job, very unusual looking with its repeat of the Fuse band colorings on the engine cowlings,I dont believe Ive seen one with this marking configuration before, whitewall tyres too, thats a Yank thing isnt it? hehe

Probably the pilots/ground crew watching too many late 1930's Gangster movies... I've actually seen a few profiles and images showing aircraft with what looked like white wall tyres or sidewalls?

Just some quick remarks on "Blue 13".
T.A. Tullis has done a profile of this a/c in "Eagles Illustrated #1". The camo is similar but different. the cowling being of the same light shade also on the front part.
Commenting on the badge, he believes it to be painted on for propaganda purposes only and some researchers believe there was no blue background to the badge.Tullis profile has blue background to the badge.
I have never seen this badge on another a/c myself.
Reference is given to "Focke Wulf Jagdflugzeug Fw190A, Dora & Ta152 by Peter Rodeike"

In Fw190 vol 1. by K. Janowicz, Kagero, 2003, The same a/c is profiled. This time with blue/white/blue tail band, the badge with blue background.
I believe the red tailband was not for JG300 but JG1. This is also what this book states.

Dahls 'blue 13' I understand to be a bit of an enigma,
most profiles are based on a photo which until recently was thought to have been his aircraft but now its apears not to have been his at all.

Ive never seen the Jg301 profile although I think FBS would be perfect for it

Actually, on LW aircraft it was used to denote tyres that had wire filaments running thru to make them electrically conductive - maybe to dischage any static electricity build up to earth on landing.

Dahl's "Blue 13". I see that this a/c has been deleted from the original posting, but I have some comments on my first comment on Dahl's "Blue 13";

The tailband matter was of course more complicated and diverse than I stated above, which I found out when I got back home again and within reach of some books.

JG1 got a red band. JG300 had first red and later blue/white/blue.

Jagdgeschwader "Wilde 300 Sau" Vol 1. Jean-Yves Lorant & Richard Goyat, also has a profile of the "Blue 13" WNr. 170994, Walter Dahl, Bad Wörishofen August 1944, most probably based on photographs in the book.
Red tailband but no cowling embleme this time.

It would be helpful if all profile artists stated their sources. In this aspect I find the authors of Focke Wulf Fw 190 & Ta 152, Eduardo Soler & Aurelio Gimeno to be a new benchmark for reference listing. An excellent listing from where you can find the photos analyzed, the books and even the pages set out. Sometimes even more than 10 books for the same a/c listed, increasing the chance one is sitting on a book with the right photos!

The "Luftwaffe Coloıurs - Jagdwaffe series"(also goes for subsequent series on bombers etc)and "Defenders of the Reich Vol 1-3" are also good as they gather photos and profile on the same page(s).
