#s 1 and 4 are really what have been bothering me about this game. I seriously hope the finished version addresses these 2 issues.

#4 is a load of bullcrap. Conviction's Sam is miles ahead of the old games; now he can actually grab or attack hostiles without having to get so close that they might sue for rape.

#1 I could barely care less about. Sure, it's nothing that makes you instantly cream yourself, but it's not bad enough to warrant #1. Hell, it's not even bad enough to become a problem; it looks fine.

I'm thinking my new gripe is the lack of lights and shadows... it seems like they removed them and added a cover system to support action/shooting.

re: #4...I don't know why I can't shake the feeling that the controls are sluggish. They don't feel sharp to me at all. I feel like I'm moving Sam through water. Just doesn't feel fast paced and tight enough when I'm going from cover to cover, rolling, or running. The shooting mechanics w/ the pistol aren't all that great either.

But then I watch the youtube videos of the previews and he looks like he's controlling and moving much more fluidly. Scratching my head on this one, lol

lol you should calm down... I also feel that the controls aren't bad but there is still a point to be made and as far as graphics go I didn't see what all the fuss was about till I read this article. I never looked at it that way I thought wow the graphics are nice but it has been in the works for 3 years and with a buget the size of a Splinter Cell game they probably should be better.

My complaint is he doesn't auto climb or fall any more you have to push A just to jump down kind of silly but I do like the learning curve of the controls they are so bizarre it takes a little bit to get use to them.

Yes, because it's a realistic representation of reality being able to grab a guy who's standing 6ft away from you.

Haha, I'm not saying it like that. I mean, in previous games, at least from what I've played (CT on 360, DA on PC), you'd have to grope hostiles to grab them, and if they weren't in the mood, they'd turn around and place a round in your skull.

E: Forgot Conviction. In Convinction, now, you can press B and have Sam run up and attack, eliminating the groping and the chance the hostile may not like it.

He moves in for the grab from a further distance. Meaning you can "activate" the grab from a further distance. When he actually connects the grab someone he's not six feet away.

That's a realistic representation of how someone would go about grabbing someone else. As was what happened in the previous games.

Although if it was me, I'd probably go for this game's method instead of creeping up on someone until my nose was almoast making contact with their arse like Sam did in the previous games. It would depend on my mood at the time though.
