I have a huge problem. When I am playing Revelation (not during cutscenes), there is a black border on top and on the bottom of my screen. This hugely limits my field of view, and makes the effective screen size smaller. What can I do about this?

That's normal.
It's been there since the first Myst, I'm not sure why but somebody probably knows somewere.

I have found the nature of the "problem". Myst4 chooses a (CRT) Monitor frequency of 100Hz at a resolution of 1024*768. The size of my screen is configured for 1152 @ 85 Hz.

All I had to do is adjust the edges of my monitor. ^_^ how easy is that, and how could I not have seen it ;-) My sincere apologies for this annoying newbie-issue.
