  1. #1
Let me first state that a lot of you guys use your forum ID as your callsign in game.(like myself SithA) But I was just wondering what your callsign is or will be(HAWX 2)so I'll know if your still playing or will be playing. I would like to have a go against you guys and learn something. LOL I play with a PC online and probably PS3 and PC for HAWX 2. Hey just let me know!

Also whats your age?(just wondering if I'm the oldest here LOL) Mine is 37.

A lot of this stuff won't be news, but whatever:

My PS3 callsign is Smoke, the verb form. Being limited to five letter, I chose the first word that came to mind. I was excited to fly again, didn't care what I was called. Had I thought that this would be what everyone would see online, I'd have been more creative.

Same goes for my PSN ID: Ldogg. Not creative, but whatever. Feel free to add me, whomever wants to. I got my PS3 the day it came out, I was excited to play. Same thing, didn't care what I would be called.

My first PS3 burned out a few months ago. Which is why I'm playing Hawx again. Since everything is kept on the hard drive, when that goes, its' back to rank 1.

I'm 30.9 right now. Been gaming since NES days, and before. First time I ever flew a jet fighter game was Top Gun on the NES. Bringing your F-14 in on the carrier in that game is the hardest flying I can remember having to overcome to this date.

I live pretty close to an air force base. When I was a kid I went to an air show there. I remember being fascinated with the fighters that were parked for us to check out. But the show itself was miserable. Being 8, and it being the usual 104 degrees and bright as hell; it was very difficult to enjoy anything.

Air Combat was the first real open map 3D fighter jet game I played. It was so much fun flying around being all crazy and blasting everything out of the sky. Back in the day, it was very hard to control your jet because your controller was limited to a digital directional pad. So I didn't play Ace Combat 2 or 3.

AC4, on the PS2 was a giant jump, and to me the most fun flight action game to date. I've played 5, and Zero. I think AC5 is the best over all fighter game though. I haven't played AC6, and have been told I haven't missed anything.

I would have liked to see some game play footage of that fighter game that got canceled a while back too, that looks good. But trailers don't win me over without showing what the game itself looks like.

Since Hawx2 is playable already, for media peeps at least, I hope we'll get to see some actual play time at E3 in a few weeks...and some info on multi player.

My intire nickname is CyclonicTuna, but as a pilot I'm called Cyclo. Because of the maximum amount of letters/numbers.

my ubi account is zedex26... and is perfect in-game because it cuts the 26 out...

I've always loved cars and planes... and when it came to gaming, the first flying game I played was F/A-18 Hornet and because of that, it's still one of my favorite fighter (also because it's the main aircraft used in the Canadian Air Force)

then the one that I've extensively played was F-22 Lightning 3... I STILL have the game CD! it had great graphics back then, and was one of the best games I've ever played! *or so I thought*... then I seen console games like Ace Combat series, and none on PC... I was really disappointed... then saw Lock On which was EXTREMELY demanding... so I never had the chance to properly play it... now I can, but I would HAVE to get a flightstick for it... which I don't want to... for 1 game... (or 2)

then HAWX came out, I was really excited that it was on PC, and of course, bought it the day it was in stores! had lots of fun with it... even with lots of flaws, managed to lots of things I've always wished I could do... but then I completely exhausted the game... because of lack of content...

I REALLY hope HAWX2 will exceed my expectations... I'm setting the bar pretty low right now, and with what I hear so far, I'm liking it already!

I use the PS3. My main account is Adnihilis, but at this point, I use Adnihilis-II for multiplayer. My "callsign" is Black in HAWX.

I'm pretty good at these kinds of games, including TDM, but to be honest, I'm not really a gamer. I've bought only 1 game total in the past year. I spend more time working on music, reading, watching film, being a husband, that sort of thing. heh

And I'm 33. Not many of us older folk, but we're around, and no, you're not the oldest person around this forum. By the way, when the new game comes out and includes All Aspect Missiles, if you want to use them in single player, it's your call, but I'd advise staying away from them in multiplayer. They're not unneeded to win, trust me.

Well said on the AA missiles! I usually create a custom match with joint strikes and gun upgrade on just to even the playing field. So ya have to just fly well and shoot better! And if I join a match with all missiles on I still don't use AA, but if someone uses them I just lite'em up with rockets!(still have to aim those) No AA then I don't use rockets either.

I wish they could limit rockets to 4 maximum while holding the button down, instead of 20... Less lag, more skill.

That being said I wish they did not allow rockets with joint strike only!

Rockets ain't missiles. So "Allowed missiles" does not affect rockets.
