Thread: Joystick Issues for PC version of Blazing Angels | Forums

Your post is similar to my earlier post about those owners of Thrustmaster Top Gun Fox Pro 2 Joysticks. Thrustmaster supplies a software download that allows you to reconfigure your games keyboard keys to joystick control. This software is called ( Thrustmapper 4.02 ) and I've been enjoying the use of my joystick ever since. You have to read the instuctions though and direct the software to look at the BA's settings exe. file. Once this is done, you can set the BA's keyboard strokes to your joystick settings. IE: Fire button #1 to trigger, secondary fire button to #2 button, etc. It is possible but I believe everyone has lost interest by now. Maybe the Forum Directors will pick up your solution and those that own Thrustmaster will see mine. One final note with whatever software you use, ( YOU MUST SAVE YOUR SETTINGS SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS OVER AGAIN )! It will retain them.

I think I understand why the game has gone to the discount rack - problems are not getting fixed and the game has been abandon. Obviously there are some folks that are pretty smart about how to get things to work, but I am not so sure they are the game technicans. Why is it no patch has been offered to "install" a joystick by simply clicking on the one you have from a list? I think I know what is going on - the team of game makers are focused on a different way to make money; rename the game, change the location a little, and put it out as a new online game- only! Now that makes sense! Abandon the older versions for a new game on-line. What I think this means is the on-line only game is going to be full of bugs that never really get fixed. Seems like a pattern is developing. So, I expect one game to be re-made into another, but it will be buggy still. Not the sort of thing one would expect from a named team. Does this mean people keep getting sacked, new programmers brought in, some of them get sacked, and the cycle repeats forever? Hey, I need a fix for the joystick problem, and since I am not a programmer, make it easy and fool proof.
