Logitech extreme 3DPro, I am able to reassign buttons as I need, but the trial doesn't recognize the throttle. In fact, it sees the Z axis twist as the slider??? And assigning a button to the throttle doesn't really work because as soon as you take your finger off the button, the throttle returns to center line.
Also, I am dissapointed that there is apparently no option for "Pro" flight control mode as there is in Heroes of the Pacific, the default mode seems counter-intuitive to me.
Are these issues going to be fixed?

****! I just thought of this and I have to go in to work!

Just an idea, and it probably won't work but I figure wth it can't hurt (I don't think). If the controls for the joystick CAN be remapped with no problem in the demo, has anyone tried replacing file-X in the retail version with one from the demo? Maybe not the EXE, but another one? I have no idea which it would, but it just occurred to me as my boss caled. I'll try and check it later if no one elsed oes.

    Hi all,
I did the same, downloaded the demo and its total bollox. The joystick doesn't work at all.

This is the whole reason why only computer companys who specialise in flight sim should make these types of games, as they know what they are doing.

Also F***ups like this is what makes downloading games instead of buying them much more appealing, as you don't waist â£35 on a game that hasn't been tested at all.

I mean the shop you brought it from may turn you away and say, "Well we can't refund your money as you have opened the box". I mean you can't get refunded either way as they'll say "well we can't see any fault".

This is a total discrace, for F***sake leave XBox games on the XBox and Pc games for the Pc.

People who upload games really are doing us a favour, as you can test it, then if you like it enough then you can buy it.

Believe me when i say that i have checked into consumer rights and the video games side of it is shadey to whether you'll get refunded. As once the case to the game is opened then the game becomes invalid.

Anyway i hope everyone has better luck with this game, even though i very much doubt it.

And Ubisoft.....stick to what your good at!!!! and leave flight sims to the professionals.

    Thank you,

    Jabbashouse.

    Hi all,

The patch is coming out tomorrow (we're waiting for the Verisign confirmation).
    The Joystick should be fine
Please bear with us and help us in making this better. We're really frustrated that our game doesn't match up with the expectations and all and i know that usually lots of things seem easy to do - things on this side though have been quite alert for the last months.

    WinXP64 should work too.

We managed to do the tests on site with the hardware available. Please consider that tests are usually made in other designated departments - usually in another country then the dev and so on.
It is not our intent to rely on the community but we surely appreciate your efforts as no test facility could ever match up with the real consumer and the diversity that awaits out there.
    Thank you for your support.

Well I had the exact same problem as everyone here and my father does as well. He has a saitek joystick and I have a logitech wingman controller.

Contacted ubi soft and they actually replied basically telling me I dont know how to configure the joystick/gamepad properly. Bunch of A'holes!

I did get my wingman controller to work by setting my throttle control in the middle. This allowed me to map most of my keys properly but the game still will not recognize all of the x-y axis on the controller.

It plays for now but unless UBI fixes the issues this will be the last f'ing game I ever buy from them. Its a shame because I was getting really hyped up for Ghost Recon Advacned Warfighter for the PC.

I responded to ubi today letting them know that it is an issue the developer must look at and fix.

UBI why were you so lazy as to port the 360 version and not even change what was necessary for it to work properly on the pc? LAZY ARSES!

    @Afantana..

Thanks for the update Andrei. You guys get this out as quick as your message implies you're going to and I for one will be grateful AND impressed.

Still, i'd rather see you take the time to get it done right than rush it and replace one problem with another one (or several).

In any event it's nice to see you post here and keep us informed.
