Thread: Do Ubi.com bother to reply to the 'Incident reports'? | Forums

  1. #1
I've had an 'incident' reported since the 19/01 and all I have had in reply is the Auto Response which just replies with links to info I have already checked from the FAQ.

Is anyone from Ubi.com actually going to answer, or is it because you expect me to pay LUDICROUS amounts to call the support line? (â£1.60 per minute!!!)

Incase anyone in this forum is of any more use, I am currently experiencing a problem with "Network Error" whenever I try to create or join a LAN game of LOMAC.

Does anyone know what might be causing the problem?

    My rig:

    Shuttle SN45G (FN45 MotherBoard with nForce2 MCP)
    XP2700+
    11024MB PC2700
    GF4 Ti4200

Is there an issue with my mainboard (on board ethernet) or something?

Hmmm...not a particularly nice way to introduce yourself and ask for help is it? So, you've been waiting for 3 days for a reply from a major software company? Have some patience, if they don't respond in a month, then you might have justification to come in here acting like an a$$hat (not really, because doing that here gets you nowhere). You might have to wait for them since, obviously, none of us are worthy of helping you. "In case anyone in this forum is of any more use."?!! Tone down the arrogance, and possibly change your screen name (some of us remember names), and ask again, you might actually find help very quickly.

1.60 Pounds per minute???? Seriously??? So basically, IgaunaKing, this person is blacklisted because he did not make friends properly? Wait a month?

I don't think his post was that bad, and considering the 'bandwidth' issues on this forum, sometimes we all don't feel like wearing pink and kissing YOU KNOW WHAT.

    Cut some slack.

It just so happens I am a software developer also, for a major company and so I know what it is like.. you answer your customers when they need help Especially within the timeframe you state

I also happen to know that there are a lot of things wrong with this game that would not have passed QA control if it was completed properly

That's UBI for you. Rush to market, slow to support.

The devs on this game really kick arse though so I hope everything gets sorted out fast.

I'm still waiting for a reply from last September from an Il2:FB question I had.

    Don't hold your breath.

No, I'm not saying that a person is automatically blacklisted when he has a problem with the game. What some still don't seem to realize is that there are actually very few people participating on this forum who are even remotely connected with UBI. Most of us are just ordinary guys just like you. Now...about wearing pink and kissing a$$, I don't think anybody here does that either, this isn't the place to do that. I have actually helped quite a few people here get their problems sorted out, so, if I took his post the wrong way, chances are some other people did as well...people who might have been able to help, but decided they didn't want to based on how they interpreted his wording. Feel free to continue to rant and rave about how UBI has cheated everybody, it may or may not be true, but these complaints are basically falling on deaf ears here.

Jestar, I'm sorry if I took your post the wrong way, but most of us here don't work for UBI any more than you do.

That sounds fair enough to me, IgaunaKing. It was when you mentioned he might want to change his user name that I went into gales of paranoia--I think I just took your post wrong, and I apologize for that.

I contribute very little to things LO:MAC, but on the rare occasion, when I can, try to help out, not matter the vitriolic nature of the post--it just reaffirms my belief that there are humans left in the world, and not just mindless automatons that sound like the phone time lady.

    Respectfully,

    Smokin Bob

No worries, SmokinBob, I failed to elaborate on that. If somebody gets a bad reputation among the forum members here they will generally be ignored. Then, they will be left to wait and hope that someone from UBI will help...and god knows when that might be...LOL!!!

    Take care
