Thread: Assassins Creed 2 freerunning changes | Forums

  1. #1
i was wondering if anyone knew of any significant changes to the freerunning system in the next game...i know that the first one was amazing, but are they tweaking it at all?
making the assassin even faster or more acrobatic?

if anyone finds out please let me know

During the demo footage there where a couple of parts that were new, like a small jump her or there or a dyno, but over all I think it looks more fluent then AC 1, not that AC 1 was bad.

yeh i think that they added a few extra jumps. In one of the stage demos, that Patrice Désilets dude was talking about a move where Ezio can launch himself higher than Altair in order to grab on to higher bits of the building and in turn climb upwards faster !

I hope they don't change the controls too much. It was really easy to get the hang of in the first game and really easy to remember.

It would be pretty cool if they added a few acrobatics into AC. The odd backflip or somersault would be immense. Also maybe sam fisher style from splinter cell. Doin the splits between an alley way then dive onto a victim below. Or maybe hang upside down from beams and what not.

Uh, dunno... just better if they leave that overly flashy stuff out, there's no reason to do somersaults or backflips

Ubisoft is very well known for games with smooth controls.I don't know anyone who has complained about controls of any game that Ubisoft made,so AC2 is probably gonna have smooth controls too.after all,if you look it better, climbing and other acrobatics looks the same, fighting is based like a countering opponents moves in AC1.

I noticed in the demo that the animations were somewhat the same as in AC1. Just new moves were added. That kind of bugged me.

But then again, so did all of the MGS games, but that's a whole different story there.
