I've had several songs pre-qualified in previous events including a couple in this event and they're not that high. Do I have to qualify it at the Event menu as well? I have two to qualify right now; Smoke on the Water and the Evanescence song. Maybe I'll give the Evanescence song a try tonight to see if just playing it through once qualifies it. This is the first time that's happened though.

An interesting note here. While the song doesn't show as Qualified, it also isn't showing up in the list to be played. Only Smoke On The Water is showing up along with a couple of the technique suggestions.

Deleted my profile because I got hit by the freeze bug. Started all over again. Was going through the first event with Satisfaction and The Thrill is gone. Got the first encore, Next Girl and nailed it. The second encore was Unatural Selection and I was doing pretty bad at it. About halfway through the song, I was so despondent that I quit the event. Lo and behold, I opened a rare song...

It is known that you do not have to do well on the 2nd encore, you simply have to get it.

I did not know, however, that one could end the event.

Did you end the event, or just stop playing?

I exited out of the event. Ended it. I have gotten the second encore before and not gotten an unlock too.

Hi all rockers, hoping somebody may have some help for me........had this game for a couple of weeks now and aside from the same issues as many others regarding the menu interface I am loving this game but seem to have a problem which is starting to annoy me....... Whenever I try to get a sustain using the top two strings the sound just seems to crackle off after about 4 seconds. I have tried three different guitars now including a new jackson ****y ( yep the game made me NEEEED!! a new/better guitar lol) and always the same result. It does,nt seem to matter whether the note is fretted open or harmonic ( really annoying during "more than a feeling".

Is this a common problem for anybody else or do I have a problem with my gear.

I am using the game through ps3 with output through a quality surround system as per the "BEST" set-up according to the manual as said tried three guitars and new guitar still has the issue.

Yeah, without sympathetic vibrations from a cranked half-stack, getting sustain can be an issue. I just continue to pick the string in time, on long sustains. RS seems to be fine with that. Not perfect, but it gets me through the long sustains.

In real life, outside of RS, I use a compressor/sustainer pedal to help with sustain. Also many OD and/or distortion pedals, have a lot of "natural" compression, which help fatten the sound and give lots of sustain.

thanks rcole- yeah outside of the game the guitar has great sustain, did get a response from ubi saying that they cannot help me because the game is not yet available in the UK ???????? thought they were an international support group.

If it is not just plain old static shock, then you need to get an electrician to check the wiring, in your house/room ASAP.

If it is just static shock, then get a dryer sheet and rub on the pick guard.

Maybe don't play, in your socks, on shag carpet.

I bought this game about 3 months ago. Got my first copy from Ebay.
When I received it, the realtone cable was defective, just didn't work.
So I got a partial refund from the EBay seller, and purchased a replacement cable from EBGames.
Been playing this game, almost exclusively on my XBox360 since I got it working.
Now, a few minutes ago, my "new" Realtone cable... kind of blew out. Don't work anymore, isn't recognised. Even my Windows computer can't see it. So... my realtone cable is busted... again.

I have read enough comments on boards all over the place stating that these cables pretty much go poof on a regular basis... enough that I would consider this a design flaw that needs to be fixed.

If I was a lawyer... I would smell a class action lawsuit real bad...
Ubisoft... these cables just suck... fix them!
