I don't know about you guy's, but i spend alot of my time sat behind the PC playing games/sims, of which there is only a few titles that i buy.

I always like to "Own" the game/sim and have it on the shelf to do as i please and load onto any future PC that i get, the idea of owning a "Cyber copy" does'nt appeal.

Its not owning the game itself that i actualy care about the most, but where a more complex title is concerned, its the manual!!

Personally i study the manual while in bed even before playing the sim, and have it next to me when i start to play for reference..especially keys. I idea of reading through a long manual while sat at the PC just does'nt happen for me, and of course you cant reference it while in-game.

After waiting as many will have for so long for this sim to arrive and being quite excited about its purchase, it seems almost unbelivable that a game about the "Battle of Britian" complete with collectors edition, is in fact not available in...Britian!

Does anyone think the title will ever be available in DVD version?? as im willing to wait if it means owning a real thing as opposed to just code?

    Thanks

    Right here:

It's the rest of the world that's a bit uncertain, as to when and where the CE will be available.

Maybe you should check your facts before your rant. UK is one of the few places that has the collector's edition for sale. I'm having a friend ship one from the UK because it isn't available in North America.

err..it was a question not a rant. When i last looked there were no DVD editions for sale, and with the exception of the Collectors edition now at Ubi, i still see no DVD versions for sale.

If Poacher is outside of the UK he will not be able to see the DVD version. I've had the same problem in Ireland. Had to buy the download and ask a relative to get the DVD for me in the UK.

    Thanks,

I did'nt see an option for the non-collectors edition!

Im guessing the standard £34.99 DVD version will come with the 120 page manual yes?

I'm guessing it isn't since the manual is listed with the other unique content for the CE.

Of course the standard edition could contain a non-ringbinded manual, but it's probably just a Pdf file.

Umm, as stated in my OP thats what im not wanting..a PDF file...its a shame they don't list what is in the standard vesion...im not fussed if its ring binded or not, but i do want a "real" manual to read and reference.

Im finding it hard to persuade myself to part with £50 for a game/sim especially as im needing a new joystick aswell since going Windows 7!!
