I have adavanced to Elite and beyond. Is there a way I can back up my progress in case my hard drive crashes so I don't have to start over. What files or folders to I save and where.

If I'm not mistaken, all that stuff is saved server side.

To save from any issues i save the entire Main folder to a flash drive so if it ever takes a crap on me. After I reinstall the game and update it to where i was before then i drag and drop the entire folder and replace everything with my original. if there are any patches after that then i will patch to the next one as long as I drag the folder across to the right version so i don't corrupt any folders.

Backup everything that's located in the Ubisoft Rainbow Six Vegas 2 folder in your My Documents.

As a matter of fact it is not saved server side. All of your information(Rank, ACES, Unlocks) is saved in the games save directory
    C:/Documents and Settings/USERNAME/MyDocuments/MyGames/Ubisoft/R6Vegas2

Ever tried logging into a different account? You still have the same Rank, ACES, Camo ect..

Pretty stupid if you ask me and defeats the whole purpose of having ranks and unlocks if its not gonna be saved serverside on your account.

That's weird. I have it for 360, and I "recovered" my Xbox Live account at a friends house one time, and it had all my rank and weapon unlocks on it, and he doesn't have the game.

If you own the PC version then all of your scores, games, and info are stored client side.

Hey, thanks for all the responses. I will back up that data and try to move it to another computer and see if it works. With the new fan pack coming out I didn't want to get all the way up to Elite - level 99 only to have my hard drive crash. That is enought to drive a man to a clock tower.
