Indeed the bosses should drop more then Asha, but lets cross fingers that BlackHole knows what they are doing with Asha:-D

The entire idea of the grail buildings is to provide really cool benefits to the faction that wins the race to create the structure. Having the game end when the grail structure is built is a complete waste. Why even give the grail structure benefits if building it is the endgame?
I like the idea of bosses. In classical fantasy (i.e. genuine ancient mythologies) very powerful items are often guarded by powerful monsters (think jason and the golden fleece of the greek mythos). You don't just bury treasure unless you have no other choice. Using guards or special locks is typical even in the real world.
