The heros of each town type in H5 are are all the same as far as their starting stats (att, def, know, power). In H3, each town had two types. A mage type and a might type. My question is what types of primary skills are more likely for each hero type? For instance, in H3, Warlocks were more likely to get a spell power increase each level up until 10, after that they had an equal chance of getting any type then. Or, you could pick an Overlord and develop your might stats more quickly instead. So, in the new Dungeon in H5, since there aren't two types, how does it work? Will Warlocks only develop spell power more quickly? Also, what are the more likely primary stats to be offered for the other town types?

Yup, you got them right, but according the the manual (one of the rare things they actually put in it), there are primary and secondary attributes. Meaning the primary has a greater chance of gaining a point than the secondary.
This is how the manual has it listed.
Academy - Knowledge (primary) Spellpower (secondary)
Dungeon - Spellpower (primary) Attack (secondary)
Haven - Defense (primary) Attack (secondary)
Inferno - Attack (primary) Knowledge (secondary)
Necropolis - Spellpower (primary) Defense (secondary)
Sylvan - Defense (primary) Knowledge (secondary)
