I've been playing farcry 1.31 for a few months without any problems.
Now I got the x64 version of windows XP and of course I was eager to install the 64-bit patch for farcry. So I did and it looks amazing!
!!!BUT!!!
When I try to join multiplayer games I get a lot of problems...
- I can't seem to enable punkbuster anymore?
- After refreshing the serverlist all the servers are greyed-out (ping of 9999 and unknown maps)?
This is how I installed:
FarCry
FarCry 1.3 patch
Farcry 1.31 patch
FarCry AMD64 patch (1.32)
Farcry AMD64 extra content
Anybody with the same problems and/or solution to this?
Thanks,
Chritter

there's no punkbuster for 64bit, therefore punkbuster is completly disabled through the scripts.pak. this also means you can't join pb enabled server even if you start the 32bit files!
make to folders and keep them independant from each other, only way to do it.

ok, thanks.
Any plans for adding it with a patch? Or any specific reason its disabled?
And how about the greying out of the servers after refreshing? Anyone has an answer to that?

RE PB, I asked UBI this question when it was launched. I am still waiting for an answer...
The greying out of servers usually means that your FW ports are not opened correctly. Have you checked those?

Don't know anything about ports and stuff, but I'm using the Nvidia firewall thats on my Nforce 4 and I enabled the 'allow-internetaccess' for both the 32bits and 64bits versions of farcry.exe in my the nvidia firewall manager. Is it this what u mean?

That is the right area try this link for exact ports need and ensure they are open both outbound and inbound
Official FAQ
If you are also using a router that needs the same ports opening, as will your OS if it has windows firewall enabled. (Assuming XPx64 has this?!)
