Have just noticed a link to art work on above item, there is a notice on the "Box" bottom right hand corner "Internet connection required for activation". Have I missed something or does this mean "No off line Play".

I believe its just a one time deal when your installing the game on your computer. Then you can play offline all you want. We're just not sure yet.

"Internet connection required for activation" traditionally meant a once off activation, but we don't know if UBI (or publishers) have swindled the english language so that 'activation' means every time you play. UBI is french based you know

We'll require 1x guinea pig for the activation experiment, and the results will determine the profit or loss margin.

    We'll see......

We like all foreigners - We have no problems with them ??

Lots of games require activation over the Internet these days. It has nothing to do with offline play. If a game is designed with an offline campaign (which I'm sure will be the case with CloD), then you'll always be able to play it.

What it means Ruski, is that they will scan your hard drive and realize that you are running a ripped off version of every UBI and 1c creation ever made since the birth of Christ (which I'm sure are anyway, with a name like that who would trust you sucking up to the red beast!!).

My advise to you is... Do not purchase, do not install, take yourself off to a dark solitary corner of the room, sit down with your knees tucked up under your chin and suck your thumb while muttering "Canvas Knights will not hurt me the way IL-2 is..."

It'll be Ok mate... it'll be Ok.

As things stand I 'think' the game requires you to connect during activation only after which point you're free to play offline. However this is among some questions we've put forward and hope to confirm clearly, and very soon

I think you are jumping to the wrong conclusion saipan1972. I believe it will be a one time activation. I think SH5 was a bad experience for UBI as well as those who bought it.

Actually not true. My FSX regularly deactivates itself and its a huge hassle for me to get my games machine online so I just do not play FSX.

There is an incredible amount of arrogant "everyone that matters is online these days" bullcr@p amongst online gamers. Many people with a busy real life are not online. In fact with the rise of iphone and blackberry even some people who formerly had broadband at home for social network reasons are no longer bothering.

However a one off activation is generally seen as "acceptable".

After all, it is usually possible to move a machine temporarily to a internet connected location or borrow a wireless modem temporarily to do the activation.

One off activation is annoying but not a huge issue.

Never mind "Crazy" it will all come home to roost when you fall off the ladder while we are painting your house. Then while you are being carted off to hospital in the ambulance I will rush down and steal your graphics card. Or maybe just take my ladders back home before you call in "OSH".
