Thread: The desert / trailer | Forums

  1. #1
I was flicking through some pages on the forum when i came across someone who said that they could see a trailer in the distance later on when returning to the cleft, i wasnt sure where it was so i went back there to have a look but past the cleft and round to the part where the cone thing from riven is (can't remember what it was called!) the game crashes. I might post this on the technical forum but i was just wondering where this distant trailer is as i cant find it and i might not need to go back near the cone.

The trailer is present in the rainy version of the cleft. It plays a role in the easter egg you asked about in your other recent thread.

I hope your crash was just a one-time glitch, there is no specific problem in that age as far as I know.

The "cone thing" is the telescope from Riven. It and the whark fell through the star fissure when the Age was disintegrating.

Have you deciphered the codes, Neon? And followed the instructions to the letter?

If you haven't done that, nothing will get you over that fence.

There is actually a video of this part of the game, and if you're really stuck I'll find it again and point you to it. And it's fun to watch. But solve the puzzle yourself first if you can.

Again, your first step is to decipher the codes. Once you've done that, things will be much clearer.

The pages in the egg room contain an English message, but it has been encrypted. The letters of the alphabet have been shifted by a different amount in each page. It is possible to solve this puzzle by looking carefully at the texts and making some intelligent guesses.
