Wolf328524: I'm guessing you're not very familier with computer hardware, so I'll be blunt, you'd be better off trying to run Far Cry on a toaster than on that video card. You'll need to get yourself at least Radeon 9700/GeForce FX 5900 to enjoy Far Cry with max details or something like a Radeon 9600/Geforce FX 5600 for mid range detail.

Yeah, that video card won't cut it at all. Processor is more than good enough, memory is good enough, however another 512 would benifit farcry nicely. Video needs to go, whats your budget?

If you do get a new card, be sure to disable the onboard from your bios. If i'm not mistaken, that video "card" uses shared memory, meaning it doesn't have its own but allocates a portion of your main memory. So definatly disable it so you can have all your system memory for what its suppose to be used for.

well that video card isnt much better. its not a directx 9 compatible card, so u mite want to look into something that costs a bit more. i would recommend the radeon 9600pro or fx5600 ultra at least to even beable to run the game on medium/low grahpics.

if u can afford ne thing better, it would b good to get the radeon 9800pro/xt or the fx5900 ultra. or to get even more performance the ati x800 or nvidia 6800 is the way to go.

Stay away from any cards with the letters "MX" or "SE" in the name.
