If there is a possibility that there is a new one in the making, whether Ubisoft is creating it or not, we should have a thread dedicated to this subject only.
I love the Broken Bond and it was extremely fun and the combat system was unique. However here is what I think of what should be added into the possible sequel.
Combat System: Should stay the EXACT same except for a couple things. Remove Rage mode...it's like a silly alter mode that increases your combo damage for a short amount of time. A character's alter mode should reflect on their abilities and Jutus. An example would be Sasuke. Instead of the auto-block and auto-dodge that lasts for a few moments depending on how long the sharingan is powered up, the sharingan should be alternate mode that increases Sasuke's combo power and speed.(Yes, just like Ninja Storm AND its similar in concept with the Anime)
Jutsus: As much as I don't want to say it, I was sort of jipped out of my jutsus. I mean the way they are applicated are so unique but the cinematics after fall terrible. After every super, the person being attacked does this awkward knocked back animation. It gives me the feeling that after every jutsu I do, I get the same result...just damage. Also, the jutsus themselves were done..well, poorly. Naruto's rasengan is the EXACT same as when he is normal and in Kyubbi form. But during the end cinematics, you can clearly see that his rasengan changed. The graphics were so beautiful and I was hoping to see eloquently executed jutus but each last only for a few moments making me not want to even use them. Also every character has only one jutsu save for a few characters. Every character should atleast have four considering the anime and the mutliple moves each one used.
Story: Everything was almost flawless here, except for a few parts. The fetch missions got a little out of hand and the back tracking made me feel like I wasn't actually accomplishing anything. The missions should have been more realistic. An example would be a protection mission, an escort mission, or a bounty mission.(The bounties were my favorite part in the Broken Bond). Retrieval missions should not be taken out completely, but every other mission shouldn't have me trying to find items in the environment under a time limit.
Environment: Please, if you are making a new Naruto game, get rid of the silly mini-game invovled in wall climbing. Naruto only had trouble with that in the beginning, but he masters it quickly. He is even able to stay on water without falling. I found them somewhat..annoying having to button mash the x button stay above the water. Also with the levels, go back to Rise of A Ninja. Exploring new terrains for a trip was fun and made every adventure unique. Each mission should have different designated route to go through to get to the destination.
Multiplayer: Perfect, wouldn't change it and one of the reasons I keep coming back.
