In light of continued feedback from the community we have reviewed the current forum layout and the decision has been taken to create a PC specific Vegas 2 forum.

We are in the process of moving across all PC related topics and updating forum links and headers, this may take some time so your patience while this process takes place is very much appreciated.

Update: We would like to move across as many PC related threads as is possible and have started the task to do so. However it will take some time to move all across so please bear with us over the coming days as we do this.

In the meantime if you are aware of any active threads in the wrong forum please feel free to draw our attention to it and we'll aim to move it over a.s.a.p.

And what about the vegas 1 forum? Will you be reviving it, or are you hoping it will simply get swallowed by the vegas 2 forum?

Perhaps you have been unaware but the community as a whole has been very verbal in their desire for separate PC and Console forums.

This feedback has been taken into account and the decision taken to split the forums again, this did mean it would be necessary to merge the 2 Vegas game forums but again taking feedback into consideration it was felt it would be easier for members to sift between 2 games than several platforms.

The question is, why at this late date when the games are next to unsupported and more importantly, almost unplayed, did Ubi finally decide to split the forums? Waste of time now.

Hmm...let's see...why would they wait until the game isn't supported to split the forums...


Perhaps because some of us have been going to the UBI forums for games that haven't yet been released and warned people about:

1) Ubi's complete lack of post game release communication and support
2) Ubi's release of untested patches that break more than they fix
3) Specifically, UBI Montreal's horrible game track record
4) Ubi's use of the excuse "we don't want to delay the release of the game by creating a demo" means the game will suck

There are many more warnings then this, but they have usually included links to these threads that now don't work. Also, by moving most of the harsh critisism into a PC forum they can just try to keep the Console forums a little more UBI positive. I remember the original Vegas console forum actually had devs posting in it but nothing in the PC forum.

I am sorry Ms K, but the timing on splitting the forums makes me doubt you are telling us the complete truth. If you are just following orders, then do you actually believe that is the complete reason for the split?

AWC Pest it wasn't about any postings on other forums, it was purely down to the ongoing feedback on the need for split forums.

The decision had been made some time ago that the forums would remain merged after the games release and we've communicated this to you all when the matter has been raised. However it became evident that this wasn't of benefit to anyone, members in particular.

In light of this a proposal for change was sent in, reasons why and how etc. This proposal received full support from both my managers and fellow FM and then went into discussion with other managers. After discussion with all involved it was yesterday agreed we could go ahead with the change.

I understand why you feel it would have been better if this decision to merge had never taken place, but rightly or wrongly that decision was made. I think what's important here is that through your feedback we've been able to identify and demonstrate why it wasn't working, acknowledge this need for change and make the necessary changes to put it right.

Well, this is really interesting!

When the forums were really busy and loaded with posts from all platforms, .. (and they really needed to be split) we were told it was for our benefit that they were combined!

Now that the forums are nearly dead and there are few posts .. we all of a sudden get slit forums!

I am for separate forums for each platform, but here is the part I find really interesting:

We have been trying to get some kind of communication from Ubisoft on the staus of Vegas 2 and information on fixes for the game and SADS with absolutely no success!!!

Now all of a sudden the upper levels have a big meeting and decide such an important issue as a forum split?????!!!!

That makes a lot of sense!!!

We are still waiting for this game called Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 to be fixed!!
When will the powers that be get together to decide when we will get some fixes and some type of communication again??

Or has that decision already been made and this is the only news we will receive on these forums??
Has Ubisoft already abandoned Veges 2 and the gaming community as suspected, or will there be something coming soon!!!

I think we have been totally abandoned, but I would love for Ubisoft to prove me wrong!!

It would 'appear' that UBI has split the forum to get the PC riff raff out of the console forum so we are no longer tainting the reputation of the main platform this game was developed for. The XBOX360. If this goes anything like the Vegas 1 forum, expect even less communication guys.
