I've just been hosting a game for approximatley 2 hours, no problems whatsoever... I did three things different:
I didn't load the Library map (which I usually start on).
I reduced enemy density from high to medium.
I instructed players who joined my server to carry on regardless (NO suicide).
Played without a hitch for two hours straight, PB enabled, Realistic, played and finnished the Dam, Dantes, and killhouse.
Probably just a fluke, but worth looking at maybe?
I host with and without PB and with the skill level change! and, yeh sometimes I can go for three hours "a few times"
but, you know I never really paid attention to what maps I was on at the time?!
So, thats something to look Into?
I guess maps can be crap
Anyway, I shall be paying closer attention to this from now on! thx 4 headsup
Actually managed to play for about 4 and a half hours last night after the first post...
No problems whatsoever. Have Ubi fixed the servers?
Was I just lucky?
Do certain maps make the server crash? If so WHY?
Wartown on realistic, PB enabled, and high enemy density (70) plays fine every time, but Libtrary with the same settings crashes nearly every time now, and then of course no one can log in. Is it juust coincidence, or are ubis servers that naff they can't handle certain maps anymore?
(For the record, I've had plenty of games on Library that have gone the disance without a hitch)
I have seen the servers up for nearly 2 weeks in the past without a crash.
Your setting don't matter.
If the Ubisoft master server goes down, everyone loses connection.
If you happen to get back in when they first go back up, you will see that there are no servers running bacause all got kicked.
Now it is becoming a major problem on Vegas 2!!
