1.0 Introduction

1.1 We hope you enjoy the Ubisoft forums. To ensure your participation is flame free and enjoyable, please take a minute to read these rules.

1.2 Any posts in breach of forum rules will be deleted, and the offender risks banning.


2.0 General Posting Guidelines

2.1 The forum is here to discuss ideas and gameplay (single/multiplayer, modding, ect...)

2.2 Try and stay on-topic within a thread, start a new thread if you move onto a new topic. Excessive off-topic discussion within a topic thread will be removed if it detracts from the discussion.

2.3 This is a moderated forum, do not abuse your membership. Bans may not be reversed, and work on several key identifiers.


3.0 Forum Rules

3.1 Personal attacks: Any posts containing personal or racist attacks will be edited or deleted and the originating account risks banning.

3.2 Flame wars: Flaming is a past time that does have a place on the World Wide Web, but that place is not here. If you cannot hold a reasoned debate without resorting to Flaming, you are not welcome here.Posts which will obviously start flame wars will be locked.Politics and Religion are obviously easy flame threads...they do not belong anywhere but the OFFTOPIC forum. These will be watched carefully....along with CLAN threads. These too often become wars so please refrain from throwing punches.

3.3 Forum Moderators: Abuse directed at any of the Ubisoft Moderators will not be tolerated and will result in instant account deletion for the offender. Ubisoft Moderators give their own FREE time to assist gamers, and have helped countless people get more out of their games. Forum Moderators time to time may contact you via "private message" (Private topic). These PM's are for the adressee/es to view only. Posting ANY PM's from moderators (or others without their permission) will result in an instantaneous ban.

3.4 Warez: Links to warez sites or discussion of warez is not permitted. Breach of this rule can lead to legal proceedings against Ubi Soft, and will not be tolerated. No-CD cracks are against the Ubisoft licensing agreement and are included in this rule - which is strictly enforced. This still applies even to legitimately sort game problems.

3.5 Vulgarity: Swearing is not permitted, it only degrades the forum and dilutes the debate. Posts of a sexual nature or of inappropriate images are included in this rule.This includes MP screenshots which contain inappropriate names. Make sure you police them before posting.

3.6 Disruption: Disruptive or persistently argumentative behaviour will not be tolerated.

3.7 Spam: Do not use the Ubisoft Forums to advertise your business or seek personal gain. People come here to read about Far Cry/Ubisoft games and related topics. The definition of "spam" is down to the forum moderator in the first instance.

3.8 Signature Images (Sigs): Please keep these images to a reasonable file size and vertical height:
500 x 150 pic or
10 lines of text or
a combination of both to be within 10 line limit.Empty spaces ARE incuded in this rule.Below is an example pic which is 500x150,the 10 text line size may not be exact in the picture but you get the idea:



This is for the benefit of users on a slow connection and to reduce scrolling. Avatars and Sigs of sexual nature, of inappropriate images, or with the use of profanity are not allowed.Use of any screennames containing:

"SS"
"NAZI"
"HITLER"
"SWASTIKA"

or ANY OTHER inappropriate names are prohibited and will NOT be tolerated. If you have to ask why....then pick up a book on WW2History before complaining.

Also...Images of the WWII German Swastika flag or the "SS" lightning bolts in your sigs/avatars are prohibited.See above if explaination required.

Discussions of the above historical names/abreviations ARE allowed

3.9 Posting of screenshots or other pics:
Please edit the size of your pics to prevent scrolling of any direction.Pictures displayed in the forum that are not resized will have the IMG function removed UNLESS the pictures are in a stated "screenshot" or "pic" thread.In those threads...any size is fine.

4.0 SPOILERS/WALKTHROUGH topics:

Threads containing any spoilers or walkthroughs of the game MUST!! be titled so. Failure to do so or tricking members by mislabeling threads that have spoilers in them causes lost enjoyment of the game by revealing gameplay that is unwanted. Members who do not warn others when posting also risk banning
