im an hardcore follower and fan of the splinter cell series ive got the full collection right next to me here on the xbox but from watchin vids and reading info about this new one has just really wound me up. i love stealth gameplay and conviction just doesnt seem to fit into that genre wich is such a let down. so for 2010 the game im looking forward to instead of the new splinter is thief 4. absolutely stunning series of games that hasnt left its roots or evolved into something generic and boring so big up thief 4 deffo a must buy if your into your stealth action! www.thief4.com very active forums have been open for a while now join in!

I've heard of but never played the Thief series, though I've really wanted to, I don't know how many (if any) of them are on the 360. I take it Thief4 is gonna be on the 360? That'll help me forget this garbage.

If you have any way of a recently up to date PC then you can run Thief 1+2 and Deadly Shadows on it. Great games! The third one Thief: Deadly Shadows wasn't so great because the dev team had many problems, hiccups and sabotages along the way. But the story in all of them are fantastic and the tense stealth sneaking is by far the most immersive environment I've come across!

Deadly Shadows is the only one available on console for the original XBOX.

Thief has always been PURE stealth and in the first person, so it's a different kettle of fish to the Splinter Cell series, which has it's moments of action and third person.

Splinter Cell was always my favourite of the two, but only because the missions you undertook as Sam Fisher were more up my alley than Garrett, but NOT BY MUCH!!

Also, Steven Russell (Voice of Garrett) is up there with Michael Ironside as one of the greatest gaming voice actors on the planet.

yep thief 4 is offical! you can also buy thief 3 (original xbox game) that works on your 360 for around £5 online or in your local shops plus this one has 1st or 3rd person views for wichever you prefer so go out and buy if you havent already played because this is pure stealth and so orignal. a quick fact also, thief was the 1st ever game to use stealth and shadows.

Yeah. Thi-four-f could be anything. It has been so long since the last one I don't think part 4 will look anything like the original trilogy.
