I repetedly go thru the entire process of doing the layer painter setup and when i goto paint, i get a 512 x 512 texture on the map. I only want to paint the texture in a nice small circle not the entire thing. TY! please help!

Did you try restarting the editor? I had that happen to me too, but I don't remember if I rendered the map or restarted the editor to clear it up.

i've had this happen before as well. my fix was to just close my map and restart the editor. also, i know it may sound stupid and obvious, but make sure your brush is not set to a huge size. just a thot!
