Hi, getting the same old error after i click the games shortcut

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: AuthenticAMD Unknown processor @ 2239 MHz [1357035208704.000000 0] with 1023MB RAM
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT (6693)

General protection fault!

amd 64 3500
6800gt
1gb 3200ram
av8 pro motherboard

please help im getting annoyed i bought the game then people started to say it wasnt good, got me more annoyed, and now i cant even play it! please help ive got all latest drivers and have read most the forums pages

Looks like the game has an AMD glitch. Could be wrong but a patch may be needed to fix this one.
Your system is pci express isn't it?

i dont think my board suppose pci - express, the third eye version does, i dont think mine does, it never appealed to me

Recheck your directX version,9c demand.

it is 9c, 2 of my friends who bought this are getting this error, a patch better come out soon or theres gonna be a huge amount of bia in stock all over the world because everyone i know has had this error and may take the game back if its not fixed soon

It isn't pci-e but it is socket 939 AMD. I wonder if I am going to get this same error.

yep i got a 939 winny, and im pretty sure my board doesent support PCI-E and even if it does my graphics is AGP

I can install the game fine with an Inspiron 8500 Mobile Penitum-M 2.0 Ghz computer and Samsung SN-324B combo drive, but when i click on the shortcut, it just errors and says "sorry for the inconvenience."

I'll probably have to take this one back now as this is ridiculous that so many people have similar problems reading the disc...

Note the labeling too of the box...on the outer box, the warning that the disc may not work isn't highlighted like it is in yellow on the inner box, which you have to unwrap and actually open to see...nice marketing...

very disappointed...
