As you know we've been looking into the issues many of you reported with XP hacking..


I'm pleased to say as a result of your feedback there's now a server fix.

Our teams have created a solution on the server that prevents negative XP submissions (ie they will equal zero).

As a result players in a hacked server will NOT lose any XP, however they will also not earn points.

The patch is currently being tested and will be released early next week.

As it is a Ubisoft server-side 'fix' players and game server admins will not need to do anything.

thanx for working on this guys. hope it works and the ppl start coming back to the game. is this an auto fix or does each server have to install it? like a patch? has it taken affect yet?

My guess its its Ubi-side. Their servers performed checks for impossible XP gains but not losses. Now I believe they changed a positive value to a negative and then integrated it into their server software.

This seems to be a solution to prevent the hack from happening in the future, which is obviously necessary and absolutely wonderful, but it doesn't address the other half of the problem. What about those people who have already fallen victim to the XP hack? Will they be given their stolen XP back?

well in some situations you suck real real hard in a match and get -xp and when you reset ur diamonds you lose a ton of xp. will these be set to zero too. im sure noone will complain if these stay at zero. just curious.

Thank you for listening to the community in this matter. We hope that people return to FC2 as word of this spreads.

And I hope it's patched for the guns/ranks in each class as well, as well-known hackers have been known to change those as well...
