Call it New Map Monday!

What is it? Just what it sounds like. Monday evenings, we will be hosting a dedicated server with anywhere from 1 - 16 brand new maps made by the Instincts Predator community.

fcmaps.net is all about the promotion, distribution and making available the maps that you create to the Far Cry community that plays them!

For The Map Maker :
This is your chance to get your map creations out there and played by the community.

For The Gamer :
This is your chance to get an early first look at what could be, someday soon, a classic Far Cry Instincts Preadtor map! Be among the first to play these maps the first day they are released.

We have created a forum at www.fcmaps.net under the Far Cry Instincts Predator area specifically for this new and exciting feature. Please be sure and read carefully the post on how to be placed in the play list on Monday night.

Even though we are about a week away from our first "Official" New Map Monday ... I thought I would give you a little sample of what its gonna be like, and TONIGHT, Monday, when I get home (probly about 8pm est USA), Ill be putting up a dedicated server of all new maps I have gotten from several of you, as well as FALLEN.

These are more then likely, (unless you made them), maps you havent seen in my regular rotation of the dedicated server that I run several times a week.

Just like all the ones I DO host on a regular basis, these are all quality maps. These are, what FALLEN and I call, "Far Cry Gems". Maps that he has selected and then we discuss on Sunday mornings. We talk about the good and the bad of the map, and then he leaves them to me to mull over for a day or so -- and then I throw them up on the dedciated server, as I will tonight.

Here is a list of some possible maps that will be on the server :

It will be a little different this evening, because Ill set the match for maybe 3 or 5 minutes (as opposed to a full round of 10 minutes). That will surly be enough time to get the map, see a bit of it and then play a little. Ill set it for Chaos or Team Chaos (so look for my gametag on a dedciated server under either of those game types).

The purpose of this server is to get some fresh maps for you to look at, grab and then spend the week playing with your friends.

Again, that will be tonight, Monday, about 8PM est USA

Ok, the dedicated server is now up, under my gametag and running in Chaos mode.

Set to 5 minutes get get the maps and have a little bit of time to see how it plays before moving onto the next one. There are 16 in all.

Be sure and leave feedback as to how you think they are.
