Case 2-02 Behind Blue Eyes
In the first location, Misha Villion's studio, I haven't found any evidence in this location yet, but it is showing three pieces of evidence in the evidence found boxes - a scrap of paper with a blue background, a shoelace with a 00:00 timer beneath it, and a bit of broken glass that says GO TO LAB beneath it.

Should we report things that we've already seen within this topic?
Anyway, I also noticed the descriptions cutting off in case 01-02 "Road to Nowhere" for the evidence found in the college dorm room. By using TAB, I was able to see the dialogue in the same case's George's home office area.
I noted that when using the upper-right icons to examine evidence mid-processing, the equipment's owner and the name of the equipment in use aren't displayed. Will this be fixed later on, when the adding-friends and sharing-experience features are added?
I also did the math and noticed that upgrading all of the equipment and tools to maximum is a two-hundred dollar investment in UbiCredits (2390 UbiC), so I wanted to ask- is there any other way to earn UbiCredits in the works, such as through promotions or connection via UPlay or something similar? We don't even know anything about pricing for clothing or how to obtain non-energy items such as memorabilia, insects, cold cases, etc., and I'm thinking it'll be very overwhelming if we start seeing the numbers add up (and feeling our wallets thin out).
Oh, and about the whole "loading freezes up", it seems it's a Firefox problem. Firefox's plugin-container.exe seems to not report when connections to the server are lost, and so it just stops, whereas when run in Internet Explorer, the game will prompt a message window telling you that you need to Refresh the page. Granted, I've never had this problem on Newgrounds games, but disabling plugin-container.exe has worked for me thus far in this case.

Perhaps you could make some of the evidence that is to be found located under the more specialized tiles? Like finger prints, blood evidence, etc. This would be better incentive to click on those particular tiles sooner or even at all. I'm a completionist so I do it anyway. But other people may just find it to be a waste of energy, since all evidence is currently found under the low energy cost blank ones.

One last thing: I'm pretty sure a lot of people are avoiding the GoogleDocs powered feedback survey because it asks questions about the game that, due to the energy-consumption-gameplay, a lot of players can't answer right off the bat when encountering errors and the like, and will thus keep putting off filling out the form.
On that note, maybe implement some purchasable or unlockable items that will allow players to recover energy faster during periods of downtime, aside from purchasing UbiCredits to purchase coffees with.

OK, get ready for a big post cause I saved it all up into one. LOL
I am also seeing cut off descriptions on processed evidence in case two.
The energy is definitely an issue. It goes way too fast to accomplish anything in a reasonable amount of time. I for one do not have hours to sit watching for my energy to go up every 3-9 minutes to click a square just to make some progress. The energy used per tile, especially for the tools seems very very high considering what we are given to use. The refresh rate of 1 energy every 30 seconds is great, if the tiles cost less.
The energy boost game is definitely a little insane. I cannot get past 3, and that is with pure luck that I click the last one before the timer ends. And I'm not exactly that slow with a mouse. My son couldn't get past two. Also, a variety of mini-games to earn more energy would by nice. That match one is already getting old.
UBI credits ONLY for energy coffees??? Very unfair. Why not be able to use funding as well for those of us that don't have extra cash for real coffee let alone virtual ones! The pay credits are better suited to purchasing large equipment upgrades, decorations, clothing, etc. The optional stuff. Not things needed to play the game smoothly like energy.
And what is with the bonus bar on the right? I have yet to figure out, is it going up? down? And what is it for?
The case counter saying how long it took to complete the case is horrible. It makes it look like I'm dumber than dirt because it took 26 hours to complete the easiest case when that was an entire day offline and most of my 2 hours that I was online I spent waiting for energy to refill!
It costs an awful lot of funding each for the basic tools needed to search a scene? And then tons of energy to use them? That's outrageous. A tweezers costs as much as a DNA sequencer? Really? These basic tools should be way cheaper and the first one of each should be given.
I am also still getting the script errors now and then but am using Firefox and clicking yes usually just makes them go away with no game loss.
Loading and server connects are still very slow, but I attribute that to the large amount of people swarming the servers right now to test out the beta and assume it will be corrected in the main release.
I had an initial issue in Firefox with the right and bottom of the screen being cut off, including the X button to leave screens, but this is solved by hitting cntrl-+ to zoom the screen and make it whole again.
What's up with the friends at the bottom? My son has me on his, but I do not have him and when either of us click add friend it says this feature coming soon. How did he even get me in the first place?
I think the evidence wait times and lab set up are just fine and I have encountered no issues with either one other then the problem mentioned by "choc-chip" of some items being difficult to locate when they are just sitting there. They need an icon above them showing they are done, similar to the ! icon to talk to someone.
I agree with everyone who took issue with being placed back at a completed scene when re-entering the game. Very annoying. When choosing the case, it should have little boxes to choose which location to start in as well, just like the evidence.
Lastly, I do have a peeve. Now, don't get me wrong, I AM enjoying the game, but I am also finding the tiles layout quite un-challenging and too un-CSI like. I would much prefer being able to click areas and objects throughout a room. If I click on a laptop I should get a laptop, a data drive, a memo, etc or be told it was empty. If I click on a floorboard I should find hidden drugs or cash or just a squeaky floorboard. I can click on a desk drawer, but it's empty. I do not want to click on a blood spot in a neatly marked square and get nothing for a large amount energy. At least tell me it was a bloody nose and just not relevant to the case. Make it more interesting, more challenging, more entertaining and more worthwhile to click. Plus, that will have the advantage of taking a little bit longer to look through a scene letting a little bit of energy refill without just sitting there watching the time count down 30 seconds over and over for 10 minutes just to click again.
"But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

I have to agree with most if not all of Jen's feedback, the energy used is really too much especially the first couple of cases and the energy amounts used when blood, prints or trace is found drains it so quickly that I go do something else waiting for it to refill. I would also like to know why the bonus bar goes DOWN when I click on a plain tile and up when I click on other tiles, it should go up till it reaches the top for whatever the bonus will be.
I also don't think that the highest level equipment should cost UBI cash because I don't buy that. If you want players to spend that then give one or two when a player levels up, that way they can save them up. And definitely bring the cost of the equipment down to reasonable levels.

One other thing, the bonus bar shouldn't go down if you've been away from the game waiting for your energy to refill that's unfair to those that are trying to fill that to the top to see what the bonus is. Its something I don't really pay attention to but am curious about.

When I'm using Safari, I get a notification about a script error every few minutes. I've played on Firefox and it's fine. Just thought you should know. Also, love the game so far. I just wish the stories utilized voiceovers, but it's no biggie. Very fun game. Thanks!

I definitely have to agree with the energy post. plus about the bonus bar. Energy should be able to be bought with funding, instead of just buying with UBICredits. Plus, the bonus bar going down, why even have one if it goes all the way down when you click on other tiles, or wait for energy? What is the purpose of the bonus bar if you can never fill it up??
-
The bonus bar represents bonus xp gained while searching. If you have it filled halfway, for example, you will get a 50% bonus to xp for the next tile searched. 15 xp instead of 10xp per tile doesn't sound like much, but it adds up over time. The bonus amount can also get pretty huge if you find a clue.
