please! i'm so sick of joining an in lobby game to find that it's already started by the time i get in or to join a room with 13/14 people and there's 5 people in there when i get in.
is it possible to add a quick match mode that works somewhat like Halo 2? just throw you and however many other people into a room with whatever game mode you've selected.
Maybe it's just me, but i hate trying to find a room to play games in, sometimes it takes me 10 minutes to find a game
Start looking at the desription of the room. It tells you whether the gamers are in the lobby or how much time is left on their match.
Also, keep in mind there is a refresh time for these things. People may have quit the match or lagged out. Common in player matches as the host changes game modes/maps.
yeah, if you choose a game in custom matches that says "inlobby", you'll probably start the game as an observer. i have to keep in mind that people who are already waiting in rooms want to start as soon as possible, so the inlobby is something that usually i try not to join. additionally, notice that when you join a room there is about twenty seconds taken off the timer, so the games that show inlobby, could have started before you even see them on the list. hope that helps.
Do not join games that are IN LOBBY. Join games that have between 1 and 3 minutes left in the current round. That way you're assured entry before the next round starts. If you get kicked or the room closes, you haven't wasted too much time.
yeah, that's generally what i do, but that's also when i see 13/14 turn into 5-8/14.
i thought it would also be nice if the custom match search would update live so you could watch the game timmer tick and if an in lobby game is starting it will start flashing or something.
another thing i thought would be nice is if you chose to enter an in lobby game the host coulnd't start the game until you were in it, or if he already started it would warn you and ask if you still wish to join the game.
thi shas happened to me tons of times.. once i had to wait half an hour to find a game so i think the host should be able to see when people are in the process of joining.
