Thread: Issues with face off any changes possible? | Forums

I am trying to give face off an honest chance but there are just somethings that are keeping me from enjoying this game mode.

    SPAWNING POINTS
-The game has a habit of spawning you directly underneath a light with an enemy or two near you. Sometimes it works out well for you -free M&E but other times they see you immediately and reveal your position.

There have even been numerous times now where I have killed the other spy and They respawn in the same room in the corner. I killed them again and they respawned in the exact same place for a free kill again. Oh yeah and there is NO RESPAWN Protect of anykind lol.

If there are only 2 people can't we just spawn at opposite ends no matter what. Also always in a position that is already dark!

    VISION
-Ability to see the other spy clearly even in dark. And I do not mean close up either. You can see the other spy in full color from quite a distance.

How far away do you have to be in the dark so the other spy can't see you?
How far away can you see the other spy in sonar goggles?

    Which leads me to.....
No option to turn off individual gadgets-
can't turn off sonar without turning everything else off.

These things just really bother me about face off. Is there any way to adjust these ubi?

I agree completely on Both accounts. I think that the spawn system is screwed up and I really think that it's wrong that you can see the other player on Sonar. Sure it's more realistic, but it makes them a little too easy to spot. So much so that I try not to use them at all during face off.

Oh, and yes, I would love the ability to select which gadgets to turn off. If I'm doing a silent go through without the goggles, I need a sticky cam.

    Only thing I want now is;

Whenever a sore loser quits, he gets a popup telling him he is a clown and the other guy wins the match.

Right now people just quit when they lose and there are no penalties for it.

Face off to me is just a sorry excuse for multiplayer. I dont think the devs spent too much time on creating it because there are a lot of stupid things about it. I think it was just threw together because they realized that they didnt have enough time to put a decent multiplayer in this game as they had already pushed back the release date so many times. I am really not sure what took them so long with this game. It is really not anything special. I mean I loved the single player campaign and even the coop story was good but those things dont take 4 years to create..

Ubisoft, in the next update please remove the sonar goggles & give us a re-spawn protection (2 seconds) face-off would be much enjoyable that way.

Sam : that's not the way it works. I ask you a question, and you give me an answer that prevents me from breaking your neck.

Yeah but they have to do something about the lag and balancing/gameplay before they start penalizing people or they'll never play.

Besides what penalty can there be you can only see the stats from the website not in game, so I don't think many people will care. You can't take away things they unlock cause they can be unlocked in sp & co-op too.

Making the game more enjoyable will keep people around more than penalties.

2 vs 2 would obviously help but so would some general gameplay changes.

maybe instead of sonar goggles we can have spy bullets back from the old games. If you tag and area and they walk past you can see their silhouette. Maybe for a twist let the eniemes see it too.

It feels more like a hide and seek gun fight instead of a Hi tech spy vs another hi tech spy

A nice penalty would be that if you leave, the other player just wins (so he can unlock achievements properly) and the loser gets stuck with a 24-hour duration skin which he cannot take off, in the form of a clownsuit with the word ''LEAVER'' on his belly.
