I just downloaded the game from GamersHell. 12/14/2009 While attempting to install the game it says "I must live in the US to play this game". I DO LIVE IN THE US, I LIVE IN INDIANA. That is about a US as it gets. I'm registered with this site in Indiana and have been gaming for 20 years in this state. I searched your site and found nothing concerning this problem in your knowledge base or forums that has a answer to this question. ALL questions about the free version are intercepted by a moderator by the name of Angelina_22 who just closes the topic and tells them to go to "another forum". But when the original poster goes there, the same mod moves it again, over and over and over, but NEVER ANSWERS THE QUESTION in ANY of the forums she sends them to. Personally I find that beyond rude. However I did find thousands of post about it worldwide. Which is very odd, why no post with answers on your site? In any case, how do I fix this error and install the game? BTW I'm NOT talking about the OLD version of the game, I'm talking about the FREE version ad supported released on 8/31/2007 at 12:26. Thanks.

Ubisoft for one day several years ago had some sort of download for Sands of Time.
There was no information about it ahead of time ... it just suddenly appeared.
No one knew what it was, what were the hardware restrictions, who was going to support questions about it, etc.
Then after one day's worth of frustration, Ubisoft stopped that "one day marketing promotion."
Ubisoft was not forthcoming in what they attempted to accomplish, did not answer the questions that we asked, etc.
My guess is that the download had some Internet component it which required it to "phone home" for some sort of authorization ... which now fails because Ubisoft turned off (shut down) whatever was needed for the software to successfully install.
Although the error message is "You must live in US to play this game.", it more or less represents the following:
"You downloaded software that is no longer supported. You should delete it. Noone knows how to make it work.
You might look for someone selling an old set of CDs on EBay or CraigsList etc."
It is POSSIBLE that the upcoming Prince of Persia movie might generate enough interest for Ubisoft to either rerelease the software; but that is just a guess on my part (a fan just as you who is not employed by Ubisoft.)
Sorry for the problems you have encountered, but we all shared some pain because of Ubisoft's failed promotion.
