Thread: Please stop making excuses! | Forums

  1. #1
I have now read through the first 10 pages of this forum and noticed that a lot of people are making excuses for Ubi's very poor online problems.

This is what myself and 100's of gamers are getting when playing GRAW2 on XBL

Join server......check up.......load.......pick weapon.......move 5ft......"connection to the server has been lost"

    or

Join server.......mics are screwed {cant hear anyone}......."you have been ejected by the host"

My NAT settings are open, I have a direct connection to my 360 from my usb modem {no router} and I have 10mb down, 1mb up.

I mean seriously, these problems were fixed with an update for GRAW1 so how in the hell did they make there way back into this game?

It is too bandwidth hungry. This is maybe why it is only the 5th most popular Xbox Live game.

GR games seem to be fatally flawed. They create a million options for you to choose from but the only way to get more than a handfull in a room is to turn off most of the good options.

GRAW2 lags in co-op. The synchronization is dire compared to the last game.

    GRAW2 = Mediocre for 10 minutes.

or maybe it's only 5th right now because not everyone has had a chance to buy it, it's only been out 11 days.

i play for 3 to 4 hours a night 3 to 4 nights a week. the only issue is the voice issue with the game.
the rest is with the hosts. it is bandwith hungry compaired with other games. but all that means is that way too many people host way more than they can without realizing it.

i mean people are still doing that start stop thing to move up on the opti match or think checking up causes lag. they have no idea it dosent do anything.

lol, it happens in player matches too. it's the hosts connection speed, not ranked or unranked ;p they are not saying they are being ejected from the server, they are saying that the hosts connection refused them due to bandwidth... you know like when you join a room full of 16 people and as soon as the map starts, 7 people get disconnected at the same time? it happens to everyone, unless you deprive yourself and play in the same room, every day with the same people. it's good to play with friends, but when you play with more people on occasion you learn new techniques and all that.

Hello Kozmix and welcome to the forums.

Its not a case of making excuses so much as a great deal of debate over exactly what the issues are, what causes them and therefore who is responsible.

What i would ask though is you post any and all issues you are experiencing in the feedback thread which is stickied at the top of the forum. The forums are checked for information but being the busy place it is things can be missed, however all comments posted in that forum are checked so its the best way to ensure your experiences and issues are recorded

Ranked matches drop way more than player matches, given equal hosts.

If you drop in Player matches, its a hosting problem. I play with the same ~5 hosts all the time. I have over 60 hours in MP and I never play in a room with less than 14 people.

wow. very odd. I've yet to be dropped in any matches over XBL.

but then again, I only go to the same few servers, and I don't go to servers with ****ty connections either.

honestly, I've not had this problem at all, so I wonder what the problem could be.

the only issues I have are sometimes with Voice chat, there is a big echo on the server, to the point where everything I say gets played back to me in my headphones.

but even that isn't very often at all.
