I'm am a intermidate map ediotor did a lot of stuff in Halo 3's forge but new to the Far Cry editor. I was wondering if there is any way to make caves besides digging a hole and puting rocks over it. I want to be able to make the cave in the crazy editor video at time 1:15 and how do they make the land float above the ground is that just a bunch of rocks to same video at time 0:28. Please if you know how to respond.

i havent made caves yet, but i think to make the land float you have to make a really tall mountain, then use something like the noise or erosion tool and work from the bottom of the hill

Based on the editor that was released, those things are not as easily doable as they would be in the developer editor... but as for caves, just make a mountain, but cut out a huge trench in it, and put giant rocks over it.... that's all I can suggest there... Same idea with the floating island is not using actual terrain, but instead using large rocks as 'land' in the 'sky'

the quick way to do large caves is to use diffeent cliff faces for the sides and then use more cliff faces face down on top of it... i'm working on an indiana jones style one at the moment

Confirmed about just making the objects "way up high" in the sky, literally. You can pause it and see that's how it is in the side closeup before the top down view
