Thread: Where to buy the DVD edition | Forums

  1. #1
As I heard Europe will be getting Farcry on DVD, and living in the USA, I'd rather import the DVD edition than buy the CD edition. Where online is a valid store that will sell & ship the DVD version of the game?

    Thanks.

The game content will most probably be the same, but it's a lot easier with just one disc than god-knows-how-many CD's...

Exactly. As for play.com, they seem to only accept European addresses. I get redirected to playusa.com which doesn't have it.

    The official statement:

Please note that Play.com is unable to accept orders
with delivery addresses in the USA.

Yep, but you'll only need one disc to play it. The other 4 cds are needed only during the installation.

yeah but i guess its more easy to lose 1 out of 4 cds than one, and more easy to scratch one of out 4, it would just quadraple his chances of messedupness

Yeah, I don't understand why the US cannot get the DVD versions of PC games. I have the UT 2k4 SE version and I love it. 1 cd to install and the case is like my Xbox titles, no cheap jewel case. I went to play.com and they do not ship to the US (bummer). Can you guys give us americans some good UK gaming site that we may import the DVD version? I really don't understand why the US doesn't get more DVD PC games. A dvd drive is almost a given these days and at least they could do would be to give us the option.
