Dont know if anyone noticed, but in part 3 of Band of Brothers (Carentan) just after they take the town, they are assigned to find high ground to the west. They then come under heavy German fire...just 200 yards accross a clearing. To the left of Easy Co is Fox Co, but it is not mentioned who is to their right. on their right flank is 502 PIR...the same that we play in BIA. If u notice when the American Armour arrives, Lt Nixon says..."Well hello 2nd Armoured!". That is the same 2nd armoured that we find in the game. Just thought you might wanna know!

That was not Hill 30 its was The Battle of Bloody Gulch in band of brothers.

Well in BOB the hill looks un-mistakenly like Hill-30. I read some info from ur site Craig, and the guy who wrote it brings up incidents and lines from the program, that didnt even happen. So for now i will believe it was Hill-30. And if that picture is from Bloody-Gulch...u not thing the makers of BOB would make it to at least resemble it? i dont know wot to believe.

I have recently purchased Brothers in Arms - Road to Hill 30 by Ubisoft, the PC Version.... Wow! I think the graphics and the action is amazing. I live very close to where the action took place, some of the villages featured in the game are only minutes away.

If any of you enjoyed playing Brothers in Arms and would like to visit some of the original locations, Utah Beach, Carentan, St Marie du Mont, St Come du Mont & "Dead Man's Corner", Vierville, Hiesville etc... then come and stay with us in Normandy! I can tke you to all the famous Airborne sites of the 101st & 82nd Airborne Divisions, the Drop Zones,Museum at Ste Mere Eglise, Michel de Trez's new Museum and Militaria Shop at "Dead Man's Corner" and the famous "Brecourt Manor" where Winters and the troopers from Easy Compay 506th took out the howitzers which were firing on Utah Beach on June 6th 1944...

Most of you will know Utah Beach, but for those who don't... Utah Beach is where the US 4th Div and elements of US 90th Div landed on June 6th 1944, five minutes away is Utah Beach Museum which is well worth visiting. Five minutes drive away is Brecourt Manor (where Winters and some of Easy Company 506th took out the four howitzers)and the memorial where Lt.Meehan's C47 crashed (made famous by Band of Brothers), Ste.Marie du Mont, Carentan is ten minutes drive away and Ste Mere Eglise is about quarter of an hour's drive and is the home of the Airborne Museum (highly recommended) and Static Line Militaria Shop. From the musuem at Utah Beach you can follow the coast road for 15km to Quinneville with amazing views and lots of Blockhouses to explore, in Quinneville there is a good Museum (which is about to be taken over) and QMC Militaria Shop which I recommend a visit to. About 40 minutes drive from us is Barneville Carteret where you can catch the ferry (it's only 8 miles) to Jersey where you can explore the island and visit the German Hospital and various Bunkers, further down the coast is the Musuem at Avranches and the Mont St.Michel, all worth a visit. In the opposite direction you can be at Point du Hoc and Omaha Beach in about 30 minutes and Pegasus Bridge and Caen can be reached in under an hour.

The house has two luxury Bedrooms for guests complete with en-suite bathrooms and WC, breakfast is served every morning between 7am and 9am and the beach is only five minutes walk away.

Ivy House takes it's name from the 4th US Infantry Division which liberated our house on the morning of 6th June 1944. Myself and my wife Sarah own a WW2 Jeep and are both very interested in WW2 History, especially the Battle of Normandy. They are practically right near each other. They are both South West of Carentan. 2nd Battalion of the 502nd went to go help 2nd Battalion 506th on June 13th. So yes, they are practically the same place.

I passed your place last year while touring Normandy, I must say, My next trip will probably include a stop over at your place, very beautiful indeed. Just a quick note: on your "History" page, you say "We are located at the top right of this map, as indicated" http://www.ivyhousefrance.com/images.../beach_map.jpg You are on the top left Had you been in the top right, at best you would have been a causeway..but more than likly flooded swamp land!

Bloody Gulch was a Bayonet attack. Hill 30, while having bayonets on, they didnt attack with them.
