Thread: Fatal XP error when closing Brothers in Arms | Forums

  1. #1
I have a new (8/05) Dell XPS with a Geforce 6800 and XP with Service Pack 2. Every time that I close Brothers in Arms via "quit", this action causes a catastrophic fatal error which immediately shuts down Windows XP. Ubisoft gave the obligatory "update your video drivers and Direct X" as the standard response. Both are current- no new updates available.
Are there any suggestions about how to deal with this? The game runs perfectly- the only problem is that it kills Windows every time it is used.I am about to give up and uninstall the game and turn it into a coaster.

    Dxdiag will help

start-run type 'dxdiag' and press/hit/hammer 'enter'

Let it finish it's probing, then click 'save all information'

Open resulting file and press ctrl+a then ctrl+c and paste in your post here.
