i have noticed that the ppl using the logitech g25/27 wheels got patched in, but unfortunately thats no use for the rest of us that have ps2/3 style dual analogue controllers, joysticks or older steering wheels.

i have been playing the driver series on ps1, ps2 and pc since the original game came out with no problems, until this half baked xbox ported pos came out, none of my controllers work with the game, and if i plug in my saitek r440 wheel or cyborg joystick the game wont even run, which i personally think is absolutely disgusting when saitek isnt exactly an unknown peripheral company, was this game even beta tested on pc's?

ubisoft and reflections are not exactly new to games, so just how these massive and serious lapses managed to make it through alpha testing is beyond me, i certainly wont be spending another penny on another game from either company after this.

    Hi Mate,

Don't know if this helps but I have patched to 1.03 and still no response from my G27 so I am using my Playstation 3 USB wired controller. I downloaded "motioninjoy" from http://www.motioninjoy.com/ make sure you download the x64 bit version if you are using Win 7 64 bit. The trick is to set the profiler to Xbox 360 mode, It works a treat. I would prefere my G27 but hay what can you do? Bthe look of the replys I got from my help request I must be the only one having this problem.

    Cheers Mate and good luck.

thx manaley, if i had a ps3 controller that would be awesome, but sadly i have dual analogue pc controllers, and this prog doesnt work for me, i'm a saitek junkie, the controllers just feel right in my hands, like they were designed for me to use, unlike the xbox controller which would be great if i had horribly deformed hands with odd length fingers and thumbs.

i have some other older pads from thrustmaster, logic, trust, speedlink, some of which sort of half work, in that i can use the custom wheel setting to program the buttons, but have no steering.

For Saitek controllers, you could try using Saitek's SST software to configure the controller's buttons to perform keystrokes. Just set it up to match the game's "Keyboard & Mouse" control configuration.

Oh... I say 'try' using the SST software because Saitek's driver and SST software links on their website don't flippin' work all the time, no matter what controller or OS combination you attempt to download.

If you have an old SST software version on the original installation disk, it may still work...

Ed: Forgot to include link to Saitek drivers/software:
    http://saitek.com/uk/down/drivers.php
    It will work, sometimes.

    Download:
    http://code.google.com/p/xinpu...u.v.3.0.rar&can=2&q=
    from:
    http://code.google.com/p/xinput/downloads/list

This will allow you to use any Direct Input device such as Logitech Dual Action USB Gamepad in games that support only XBOX360 Controller from M$.

Just extract to game directory and run XInputTest.exe ...I had to use this method on other games such as Star Wars Unleashed 1 & 2.

It solves the problem, when you see your device in Windows game devices, but can't use it in the game.

    Hi Everyone,

I have given up on the G27 as it looks like the patch in that respect is a dun, I'm yet to here from anyone who has it working with driver San Francisco. On a side note have any of you guys played this game with 3D vision, its fantastic, not perfect but WoW, when you tweak a couple of the settings it is unbelievable.

    Anyway enjoy,

    Cheers,

    Jeff
