I've had the same problems, then about 5 months later my xbox died, after I got a new xbox my game has never froze again, maybe you should get you xbox checked out so it dosen't end up with the same fate as my xbox.

its not a xbox generation issue, usually caused by a conn probelm betweem you and the host, whether it is a packet loss issue or not im not sure, but i have a gen 1 xbox from day 1 and a xbox from last april that both do it. just a error with the gr series game that you just have to learn to deal with.

This isn't a 'conn' problem at all. With over
fifty games for XBOX, ALL of my games work
just fine..no crashes, no hangups, no freezes.
ONLY Ghost Recon: Island Thunder does. I thought
at first I had a bad disc and took it back to
the store and got a new one. This one is also
bad. That's a bad sample rate, statistically
speaking. I think a batch of bad discs were
pressed and the people who did the QA for this
messed up BIG TIME. UbiSoft SHOULD step up to
the plate, admit to the problem, and offer
refunds OR FREE versions of the next series
in Ghost Recon. But if the next one is THIS
bad? Forget it. There are too many other
good military team games for the XBOX to play
than to bother with this kind of hassle.
Speaking of, the original GR was awesome. Obviously,
code gets resused for the new versions and that's
fine but geez...is each game going to be so thin?
Island Thunder has so few levels it's not worth
paying 75% of the price of other XBOX games that
really deliver and have a longer shelf life.
If someone from UbiSoft would like to contact me
regarding these bad discs I've experienced, please
feel free to do so. You really should do something
about this.

GRIT wasnt meant to be a brand new game, more of an update on the older version

I am experiencing problems with both GRIT and Rainbow Six. Unfortunetly there is no helpd to be found. I have tried everything from resetting my router, and cable modem to deleting information off of my Xbox Hard drive.
I get good speeds with my Xbox live test (Upload 135k kbs, Download 1356kbs). My PC's work fine, other Xbox games work fine. I can download new content that UBIsoft puts out, I can see all the games that are available to join. Just when I try to join I get "Failed to Connect"
It worked great for about a month then it just died. If anyone is thinking about buying any of these UBIsoft games for Christmas, I would think twice about it if you want to play it online.

Be careful what you say about people "not buying games for christmas" due to an issue that you are having. I have had GR for over a year now, and GRIT since it came out in August. I get an OCCASIONAL "failed to connect" message, but these could be due to the room filling up before I joined, or the host locking the server before I joined, or even the host deciding to close the room before I joined.
All that I do in this situation, is search for another game and join it. And if it fails, I start over again. It really isn't that big of a deal (was certainly worse on the original GR), but for the true enjoyment that these two games give me, I couldn't have spent my money anymore wisely.
I cannot speak for RS3, but don't trash the other two titles for issues you are having (could even by an issue with your ISP having issues).
