It's a fascinating exhibit - just 90 miles from here. The entire submarine is in an underground vault protected from the elements and surrounded by interesting dioramas and historical information. Kinda disneyesque with the 'forced' photo they try to sell you of yourself with the conning tower in the background, but I understand that such an exhibit is expensive to maintain and the museum is maximizing it's income. A trade off that I suppose is well worth it to explain & preserve this part of history for generations to come.
(This museum also has a Stuka and a Spit hanging from one of the main galleries in a frozen dogfight.)
