Thread: Co-op LAN crashes on the PC | Forums

I read through the guides and what not on here, but I'm running a LAN game and getting tons of disconnects, always when using a computer or door pad in game. I don't know what I can do to make this work, it doesn't make any sense for it to desynch on a LAN. I'm having System Shock 2 coop flashbacks here.

I have to say my wife and I both bought a copy of this just to play around with the coop and I am thoroughly unimpressed. Developers really need to focus on making a game mode work before they release it. There are game mods out there with more stability than this.

Furthermore, why in the blue hell can't you save/load games outside of one session. The whole crashing thing would be about 50 percent less irritating if I could just load the game back up instead of STARTING THE WHOLE THING OVER AGAIN...

I hope Ubi is at least putting some thought into this issue. Otherwise its about to be the last piece of PC software with their name on it that I pay for.

I've been having the same problem. My brother's computer and mine are connected by a router so we turned off the firewalls and disconnected the modem from the router so we are not connected to the internet.
His computer is slightly beefier than mine, he is running a 2.8ghz 2/HT& 1gb ram & ATI X700 256mb video card. Im running a 2.53 ghz & 768mb ram & GF4 Ti4600 128mb video card. He has his resolution set to 1280x1024 with various settings turned up and I'm running at 1024x768 with settings close to minimum.
We can't go for more than a few minutes without getting a disconnect, wtf? this is horrendous
btw we both have versions 1.03 running.
