I've got a Wii, love the thing to death. I assume some of you may have a Wii, or are planning on getting one soon. I figured this topic can help us exchange our Wii numbers with one another, so we can swap Miis and send messages and stuff.

Well, I plan on getting a Wii, but I'm not quite willing to camp in front of the store on the day they receive a shipment...

Actually, after I play some Wii Sports and a bit of Twilight Princess, I plan on firing up BG&E in it to see how the backwards compatibility handles it... <div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Do we receive messages saying that someone wants to register us? or do we each have to register each other individually?

Here is how it works:

You go to the address book and add my Wii number. I do the same on my Wii with adding your number. Once we've each added the other person in our address books, then we are officially conneted as Wii friends. Our Mii parades will now display each other's mingle Miis, and we can send messages to each other's message board.

I haven't added either of you yet, hence why nothing has happened yet. I will add your Wii numbers to my address book hopefully tomorrow, and I'll toss you a line/send you my Mii to kick things off.

The online aspect to the Wii is suprisingly robust. The web browser rocks, there's nothing like watching YouTube and old Sonic the Hedgehog reruns from the comfort of my couch. Sending Christmas wishes to all of my Wii friends was also a plus. Very cool system.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
