Looks like the 56th Fg to me,a p47 razorback flown by Cameron Hart of the 63rdFs of the 56thFg.An unusual P47 as it had 2 tone green camo' and natural metal canopy framing (or at least it does in the photo on page 52 of the book "Fighter Command" by Jeff Ethell and Robert Sand).I believe more than one a/c used it as its a Sqn badge that was used for noseart?I've been considering this one myself ;-)

About the 2 tone "camo" it wasn't a camo really, but only a new paint of OD over an old worn one, they didn't painted some spots and that was the result. [img]/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif[/img] Looks liked it was a field paint in a hurry. [img]/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif[/img]
