Anyone have any info about Microsoft's mp3 player, Zune? What's true and what's speculation? I found one site reporting a Nov. 14th release. I was going to buy an ipod until I heard that MS had one in the works. Wi-fi is a big selling point for me, i'd like to see what else it has to offer. Here's a picture that I found. Do you have to hold it sideways to watch in widescreen mode(if there is such a mode)? November's not far away to not have anymore details.
(btw, I've read in some places that this picture is a hoax so who knows)

I am in the same boat with you, I was going to pull the trigger on a 60gb Ipod last weekend, but they only had the 30gb in stock at CompUSA. I came home and did some looking around and saw the Zune, I have had good luck with MS products so I think I will just wait until it comes out to make my decision.

Expect something even bigger Mike. That pic is a Hoax. Toss it.

Much bigger and you better believe there was alot of research and time put into the surprise thats about to hit.

If you're looking for a good value mp3 player, stay away from iPod. IMHO, Creative Labs offers some very good quality, large capacity mp3 players at a fraction of the iPod's cost.

A few months back I got a 20 gig Creative zen photo for only $170. Its great. i-pods are way to over priced.

That pic isn't a hoax. It's the prototype version. The final version will closely resemble this one though. Not trying to start anything, just a heads-up !!!

I've got a Zen and it rocks so hard! I've always loved Creative products.

I'm sorry but there is NO substitute for my IPOD. Worth EVERY penny I put into it. I love poppin it into my Alpine Ipod ready dock in my car, or my external speaker set at work, and of course into my 360 when I game. There can be only 1. The IPOD is it.

I would also like to note that 70% of new cars in 2007 will be Ipod ready!!. GM,Ford,Mazda all have joined on as supporters.

I'm glad you like your over-hyped piece of musical equipment. IMHO, the iPod is way overpriced - you're bying mainly for the name-brand and the advertising. Other brands over much more storage for a fraction of the cost. If you have an auxillary input in your car (and many car stereo systems have one), you can plug any mp3 player into it. Ditto with the external speakers. Many mp3 players are also compatible with the 360.

When you say that 70% of cars will be Ipod ready, what exactly does that mean? Does that mean that they'll merely be coming with a standard auxillary port? If so, then they'll accept any mp3 player, not just the Ipod.
