I was trying to go for a dark look, but your right. It is too dark. I'll try to light'n things up a bit. It could be how my montior is set up. I'll try to get this resolved tonight.

I'll try to give your request a shot after I get some other projects out of the way.

    Thanks for posting it.

Seems there's four files of the same size (800k) with the same image. Is this intended?

My opinion of the look of the chess pieces in the pix (posted above) is that the pieces look like they're a bit squashed or just a little fat. Looks slightly disproportioned on the board.

I think it's pretty good . It looks a lot clearer with a light wallpaper though

Thanks everybody for taking a look at this. It's my first. I've got a few other ideas I'll try to get to soon.

What I really wanted to do is make my own chess pieces. I have made models before in the past for games but was never used. I really wished that CMX was more MOD friendly.

Nevertheless, I have a friend who is trying to hack the program to allow a user to create new 3D pieces but I don't know how much time he'll spend with it. He is a talented programer but usually ill tempered... aren't we all.. lol

One project I want to do this fall is to buy a small lauf (sorry for my poor spelling) and make custom chess pieces for a real chess board. If I'm successful, I might try to sell chess games for a much lower price than you could find in a store... But it's just an idea and I'm not sure that I'd be good at it. but I'll give it a shot.

But till then, I've got my CMX

I'll try the 2D chess set that was requested by ebutaljib but I'll need a much higher resoultion image and higher color.

I really would like to know...

Does anyone play my two chess sets??? Does it suck??? I'm not going to get mad... I want to know...

I really love celtic art... and what better way to express it than to forge it in a chess set...

I know that one is too dark and the other has a crappy back ground... but other than that, what is your thoughts...

    Just wanting to know..

I'm sorry.. I've been out of the loop for a bit... It turns out that this board (from the Jpeg) is rather low rez... if you can provide me with a high rez (as high as you can) at least 800X600 then that would be awesome... Reason why is because I would be able to get a hi rez of the pawns (and such) and make corrections for the bmp/jpeg/whatever convertions...

I'm playing with your chess sets. They are really good. Maybe you can make some crazy chess sets, chess sets you never saw before. I know, it's quite difficult do create 3d objects (I do it with 3dsmax 6) but maybe you can make your own pieces.
Don't be sad if noone gives you a feedback to your chess sets. I know how it feels like. I spend hours making tutorials and nearly noone gave me a feedback. I think there are many ppl who download your chess set, like it, but don't tell you because they aren't registered here and can't write here.
However, keep on making chess sets!
