Thread: Tools for movie makers, and other miscellaneous stuff | Forums

I know that many here use Premiere Pro but I think the price can be prohibitive for some as it is for me. So I was looking for a cheaper alternative and found Magix

    http://site.magix.net/english-uk/home/

    Actually I used this product:
    http://site.magix.net/deutsch/startseite/video-produkte...us/?version=standard

Unfortunately I am not sure which of the products for English speaking countries corresponds to that I used.

I've never tried Premiere Pro but from what I've seen it offers much more possibilities to the user. Much more than the Magix product. On the other hand the Magix tool is ten times cheaper and still offers a nice bunch of editing options and effects. What is more: it is as easy to learn than Movie Maker, the later offering very limited edition possibilities.

I think the Magix tool is the right one for those who are not sure if they stick to movie making or they don't feel the need to push their products to highest perfection. Some possibilites offered by the tool you can see in my second movie "Seas of sand" that you can find some threads below.

    S!

    Boris FX

    Absoloutly awesome.

It runs as a plug in with Vegas, Premiere pro, AVID, Adobe After FX.

I got the red and the FX. Awesome, but hard to get to grips with.

If you like Premiere pro with all the track level **** you'll fall into this like a ****** to a dose clinic.

If your like me who hates ANY GUI of Adobe you will hate this also, but will learn to love it when you discover what it can do.

If your looking for a budget alternative for FX then a must is FXhome suite.

A really nice package, easy to use and some stunning FX

For those of you who use Storyboarding, check out this site: http://www.incompetech.com/beta/line...toryboard.html

It gives you ready made blanks to sketch in your planned action.
