i think it would be fun if the cars break down, suspention breaks, eventualy run out of petrol. dehidration. guns jam, random animals like snakes and lions attack you. just little thinks that will pee off the player. makes the game that little more realistic.

i believe they will have some of those features in Far Cry 2.

I dont give a tin fennig for the plot, the only reason I will by the game is for :
1. The scenery. Some mag review said that the game will have all African enviroments in it - Hipe I suppose. I will be expecting Okavango swamp ( with crocodiles and hippos ), Kalahari desert fringe ( WITH scwabeling MERKIT families ), mountain cloud bamboo forest ( with Gorillas, NOT Pandas ), and Kilimanjaro mountain top volcano crater lakes ( with giant tree groundsel ), and Sahara.
2. The interesting wildlife - Crocodiles, merkits, monitor lizards, spitting cobras, tortoises, etc. Lions are boaring.
3. Some type of true optional third person view ( a la Morrowind Vanity mode ), as provided by DEVMODE.
4. Ability to use FarCry and customised body models in the game ( as provided by Devmode ) - I liked wearing an Indoor Merc body with the combat suit and armour, and modelled a Monadnock 1000 cosh which I incorporated into the game.
5. Hair cuts - optional bald, crewcut and mohican, tash and beard
6. Modability - crysis is said to be using a next generation GUI senario editor

I would like to see, just like crysis customisable weapons... eg different bullets, scopes and silences

I think a careful balance of jeep usefulness and fragility/maintenance is in order. For example, a jeep would run out of gas eventually, but you should be able to take it from A to B then back again without worrying about it. It should not be a nuisance just a limitation and tool to immerse the player in the world. I believe the gun aging should be carried over to the vehicles as well.
I would like to see the vehicles not just be one time joy riders. The player should be able to "acquire" one many ways and as long as he takes very good care of it , it should last him the entire game. I liken this to the horses in oblivion. The horse is never in your inventory, yet you "own" it, it is yours.

just be able able to customise weapons like in cod4 and crysis. they really should include weapon attachments it would make the game a lot better

The best defence against software piracy is producing a game worth buying.

I don't think you should whine about something you'll never get and revive old threads.
