Thread: Crackly Sound.... | Forums

When i load up BIA.. as soon as the main menu has loaded up i get this immediate crackling sound. I can still here the music in the background but the crackling really disrupts it.

I have Direct X 9.0c and my sound card has the latest drivers etc.. My pc should have no problems running it but this sound problem is really annoying.

Any help would be really appreciated... thanks!

I have the same problem. I think the sound should be the raindrops falling, but it sounds awefull on my PC for the same reasons as it does on yours.

I also get problems with stuttering in the game, and that one is far worse than the sound crackling. See my thread "Game play is stuttering". Do you have any ingame lag problems?

    Cheers,
    Steffen

Check all your levels in the windows audio control mixer, make sure your microphone slider is muted and turned down.

If none of that helps, it's worth just going into Dxdiag (Start>Run>Dxdiag)

Audio > and turning down sound acceleration to basic. If it doesn't do anything, just repeat the process and turn the accel back up.
